Former Harris Steel Facility

True Environmental serves as the LSRP of Record for a former steel manufacturing facility that hosts multiple tenants with Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) applicable operations and eighteen active ISRA cases. At the time of the Client’s purchase of the Site, True coordinated numerous General Information Notices (GINs), Remediation Certifications, and multiple Remediation Funding Source (RFS) estimates and submittals with both the seller and NJDEP. Following the acquisition, True worked closely with the Client/Owner to negotiate an Adjusted Administrative Consent Order (ACO) with NJDEP Enforcement, merging the multiple ISRA cases under NJDEP Direct Oversight. The team has completed several Preliminary Assessments, Site Investigations, and Remedial Investigation activities for ISRA-applicable tenants and the Site as a whole. True will continue supporting the Client/Owner through demolition and redevelopment, with the ultimate goal of achieving an Entire Site Response Action Outcome (RAO).

Additionally, True provided Environmental Compliance services for properties in South Plainfield, New Jersey. As part of the remedial investigation of the Areas of Concern (AOCs), True collected soil and groundwater samples from soil borings and temporary well points (TWP). Upon retrieval, soil cores were visually inspected, screened for organic vapors using a photo-ionization detector (PID), and logged for material content and lithology. These steps ensured accurate characterization of subsurface conditions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
