Environmental Assessment and Design for Citywide Ferry Expansion
Our Goal
True conducted environmental assessments for the NYCEDC Citywide Ferry Service (CFS) project, which will construct new ferry landings around New York City to support an expanded city ferry system. A team of engineers prepared Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) and Phase II Environmental Site Investigation (ESI) workplans and conducted Phase II ESIs at eight proposed sites. The ESIs included the collection of soil, soil vapor and groundwater samples and were done in accordance with the CEQR Technical Manual, with review and approval by NYCDEP.
Our Gameplan
As a result of the investigations, True prepared Phase II ESI reports, Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) and Construction Health and Safety Plans (CHASPs). True is also providing landscape architecture services for several of the landings where NYC Parks is a stakeholder. True is preparing schematic design documents and participating in presentations to NYC Parks. True will also prepare construction documents for NYC Parks Landscape Constructability Review and PDC Final Review. True will assist with procurement phase and provide construction support services as well.
