The Project
The Chaplain Hudson Power Express (CHPE) project in New York, NY involves the development of a 400kV HVDC transmission system designed to enhance regional energy infrastructure. The CHPE is the largest underground project in the Northeast; it boasts 330 miles of underground HVDC transmission from Canada to New York City.
Our team delivered a full suite of environmental and compliance services, including habitat mitigation planning and design, wildlife and vegetation surveys, and environmental permitting. We also provided post-implementation monitoring and reporting to ensure long-term ecological integrity, along with construction oversight to maintain adherence to regulatory and sustainability standards throughout the project lifecycle.
