Coos Bay Dry Plant Scanning Services

True provided High-Definition Laser Scanning (HDS) services at this recently constructed processing plant located in Coos Bay, Oregon, in order to assist with the design-build, construction management, and engineering services at another processing plant in Reserve, Oregon. The Coos Bay processing facility consists of eight levels and approximately 12,000 square feet. The purpose of the scan was to identify as-built existing structural features to be used for the proposed design and construction of the Reserve plant.

The scan was performed using a Leica C-10 High Definition Laser Scanner System, which produced a resolved point cloud of the entire plant structure, including silos, piping, and concrete walls. The 3D rendering/REVIT/Navisworks model was utilized by the 3D Modeling design team for the assessment of site constraints and the placement of the proposed features. True is still in the process of providing survey, design, and construction management services for the required construction layout activities of the mineral sands processing plant.
