Former Chemical 
Production Site

True provided redevelopment and remediation services to support construction at a former chemical production site in Bergen County, NJ. As part of the site redevelopment, True developed remedial solutions for a site with multiple contaminants of concern in soil and groundwater and complex geological conditions. Various conventional, advanced and innovative remedial technologies were evaluated to determine the most effective remedial approach, while maintaining the Client’s redevelopment schedule. After evaluating the alternatives, in-situ soil stabilization (ISS) was selected as the most suitable remedial technology.

The ISS approach will remediate approximately 26,000 cubic yards of impacted soils and groundwater and serve as a bridge to a long-term monitoring natural attenuation goal for groundwater. All remaining soil impacts will be managed through engineering and institutional controls.
